Everybody of us tries to be a better version of ourselves. Even though I was not a big fan of books, I have to say that books helped me in many aspects of my life. I do not regret switching from serials, movies and Netflix to books. In this article, I will show you six books that help me improve myself, and I am sure they will help you too.

Deep Work:

“Deep work” is the ability to focus on a cognitively demanding task without distraction. A degree from Professor Cala Newport will help you improve what you do and achieve much more in less time. This will give you a sense of true fulfilment that stems from mastering this skill.
Most people have lost the ability to go deeper — instead, they spend their days eagerly processing irrelevant e-mails and on social media without realizing that it is otherwise. This book accompanies the reader on his journey through unforgettable stories and offers him a combination of criticism and tips that can be applied to deep work practice. Its development is one of the best decisions you can make in an increasingly scattered world.

How to Talk to Anyone:

Never be at a loss for words again! Perfect your people skills with his fun, witty and informative guide, containing 92 little tricks to create big success in personal and business relationships. In How To Talk To Anyone, bestselling relationships author and internationally renowned life coach Leil Lowndes reveals the secrets and psychology behind successful communication.

These extremely usable and intelligent techniques include how to:

  • Work a party like a politician works a room
  • Be an insider in any crowd
  • Use keywords and phrases to guide the conversation
  • Use body language to connect

How to Win Friends Influence People:

A great many individuals all over the planet have further developed their lives dependent on the lessons of Dale Carnegie. In How to Win Friends and Influence People, he offers viable counsel and strategies to escape a psychological groove and make life fulfilling in his extravagant and conversational style.

- come out better as a speaker
- support energy among your partners

This classic book will turn your relationships around and improve your interactions with everyone in your life.

Dale Carnegie, known as ‘the arch-priest of the art of making friends’, pioneered the development of personal business skills, self-confidence and motivational techniques.

The Subtle Art of Not Giving a F*ck:

In this generation-defining self-help guide, a superstar blogger cuts through the crap to show us how to stop trying to be “positive” all the time so that we can truly become better, happier people. For decades, we have been told that positive thinking is the key to a happy, rich life. “F**k positivity,” Mark Manson says. “Let us be honest, shit is f**ked, and we have to live with it.” In his wildly popular Internet blog, Manson does not sugarcoat or equivocate. He tells it like it is — a dose of raw, refreshing truth that is sorely lacking today. The Subtle Art of Not Giving a F**k is his antidote to the coddling, let’s-all-feel-good mindset that has infected modern society and spoiled a generation, rewarding them with gold medals just for showing up. Manson argues, backed by academic research and well-timed poop jokes that improving our lives hinges not on our ability to turn lemons into lemonade but on learning to stomach lemons better. Human beings are flawed and limited — “not everybody can be extraordinary, there are winners and losers in society, and some of it is not fair or your fault.” Manson advises us to get to know our limitations and accept them. Once we embrace our fears, faults, and uncertainties, once we stop running and avoiding and start confronting painful truths, we can begin to find the courage, perseverance, honesty, responsibility, curiosity, and forgiveness we seek.

Atomic Habits:

Atomic habits offer proven guidance on how to improve by one percent each day, regardless of your goals. The world’s leading habit expert James Clear reveals practical strategies to teach you to master the tiny behaviours that lead to remarkable results. If you find it challenging to change your habits, the problem is not in you but your chosen system. You do not repeat bad habits because you do not want to change, but because you have chosen the wrong system to change. You do not rise to the level of your goals. You fall to the level of your systems. With Atomic Habits, you get a plan to help you take it to the next level.

James Clear can break down complicated topics into simple behaviours immediately into everyday life and work. It draws on biology, psychology and neuroscience to create a straightforward guide on making you perceive good habits as necessary and bad as impossible. It also inspires and entertains readers with the true stories of Olympic gold medalists, award-winning artists, successful entrepreneurs, life-saving doctors and stellar comedians who have risen to the top of their profession through the art of tiny habits.

Atomic habits will change how you think about progress and give you the tools and techniques to move up — whether you are an athlete and want to win a race, a leader who wants to optimize your business or an individual who wants to quit smoking. , lose weight, get rid of stress or achieve lasting success.

Attitude is Everything:

Do you dread going to work? Do you feel tired, unhappy, weighed down? Have you given up on your dreams? The road to a happier, more successful life starts with your attitude — and your attitude is within your control. Whether your outlook is negative, positive or somewhere in between, Jeff Keller, motivational speaker and coach, will show you how to take control and unleash your hidden potential through three decisive steps: — THINK! Success begins in mind. The power of attitude can change your destiny. — SPEAK! Watch your words. How you speak can propel you towards your goals. — ACT! Do not sit back. Take active steps to turn your dreams into reality. Soon, you will be energised and see new possibilities. You will be able to counter adversities and develop talents unique to you. Your relationships will improve, both at work and in your personal life. All you need is this step-by-step programme to change your attitude and your life!
